Easter 2025: Tree Planting in Ismaning – and for the World

Happy Easter!🐰

Springtime in Ismaning is, as always, a real feast for the senses – blooming trees, colorful flowers, and nature bursting with life. The perfect time to take it all in – ideally with a refreshing visit to the local beer garden.

Yes, flowers and blossoms are blooming everywhere right now – but Ismaning really has its own charm. With its waterways feeding into the Isar, the surrounding river meadows, and the rich local wildlife, it’s a very special little spot. Among the most industrious locals: our neighborhood beavers, busy chewing on young saplings and turning trees into lumber. Real natural architects – and pretty strong role models, actually! -- except that by now they also cause a lot of flora damage, thereby potentially causing multiple infrastructure-related problems ...

Nature protection – without buzzwords

Let’s be honest: the term “climate protection” has been worn thin. Most of us are still firmly entangled in a day-to-day routine powered by combustion engines and driven by a linear “take-make-dispose” economy. Circular thinking? Still a pipe dream. (And, please, don’t even get us started on microplastics – ...)

But: there are small, tangible steps we can take. Like active groundwater protection – for example, not throwing cigarette butts on the ground. Or even better: picking them up! (Which I now do regularly while walking the dog. It’s disgusting – and unfortunately, there are far too many.)

Planting instead of preaching

One of the most impactful ways to help? Planting trees!

We currently support this by donating to the Bürgergemeinschaft für Landschaftspflege in Ismaning e.V. They use these resources responsibly and directly for local planting initiatives.

Tree planting in Ismaning is actively promoted – and often carried out – by this citizens’ association. You can contribute by joining planting events or, even more easily, by donating. For us, it’s even part of our sustainability model.

In summary:

Tree planting isn’t a cure-all – but it is a meaningful contribution to climate resilience, biodiversity, groundwater quality, and the well-being of future generations.

Everyone can do something.
